Mr. Fonseca was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following his service with the United States Marine Corps (1991-’94), Mr. Fonseca attended the University of California, Davis, where in graduated, cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1997. Mr. Fonseca received his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University School of Law School in 2000, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Upon admittance to the Louisiana Bar in 2000 and completion of a judicial clerkship with the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal, Mr. Fonseca entered private practice in 2001, founding his law firm and launching Standard Title, LLC.

Mr. Fonseca’s professional experience and expertise extends to the firm’s transactional and litigation practice. Since 2001, Mr. Fonseca has represented individuals and businesses in all related matters involving real property, construction, land development, secured financing, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Fonseca takes an active role in assisting clients’ estate planning, succession and probate proceedings, to include succession litigation and the representation in such actions. Mr. Fonseca also serves as general counsel for numerous businesses and organizations, assisting with corporate governance and related matters, and routinely engages in commercial litigation and general civil litigation to best serve his clients’ interests.

Mr. Fonseca is a member of both the American Land Title Association and Louisiana Land Title Association. Mr. Fonseca is also a member of the Louisiana State, Lafayette, and SWLA Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and local jurisdictions and the U.S. District Court (Eastern, Western, and Middle districts of Louisiana).
